Basic Quinoa

Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 6 Servings
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups red, white, or tri-colored quinoa
3 cups water
pinch of sea salt
Directions:
Rinse the quinoa
Add the quinoa and water in a sauce pan
Add a pinch of sea salt. Bring to a boil
Cover and simmer for 15 - 20 minutes until liquid has been absorbed
Remove from heat, cover, and let the quinoa rest for 5 minutes, and use fork to fluff it up
Notes:
Can add nuts and seeds for added crunch
If using for breakfast, add in nuts or seeds with berries
If using for a savory meal, add in a teaspoon of olive oil, garlic, pepper, and oregano
